Updated on

In this article, you will learn

  • which functions you can refer to in the main menu of the PPD Tools Collection for the Production Job Export Analyzer and
  • how and for what these functions can be used.

Introduction

Exported Production Jobs can be analyzed in this menu item of the Applications in the PPD Toolbox Collection. After loading an exported job, users are shown a summary of the most important key data. It is possible to open all the files of the export directly here and then analyze them.

Functioning

The Production Job Analyzer makes it possible to quickly analyze an exported Production Job. The basic functions are unzipping the affected ZIP files to Production Jobs, reading the key data and opening the individual files. This immediately provides users with additional information about the affected Production Job.

To access this information, proceed as follows:

  1. In the open dialog of the Production Job Export Analyzer klick on File > Open Job [1] or drag the ZIP of a Production Job into the upper left text field [2].
  2. In the now open dialog window, enter the name of the Production Job. Note: this name must not exceed 60 characters and will be automatically shortened if the name is longer than 60 characters [3].

The following additional functions are available in this dialog:

  • Exported Data [6]: In this view, the exported folders can be selected. The files contained in the folders are displayed on the right-hand side [12]. Double-clicking on a folder or file [7] opens the file – depending on the file type, the file is opened in the File Analyzer or in an external program.

Unzipped ZIP file

A folder is automatically created for the ZIP on c:\CustomerLogs\JOBNAME, and the ZIP file is unzipped there.
