1. Introduction
The check Check availability of PageBoxes allows you to verify the presence of all selected PageBoxes in the Print Item. The check is considered successful only if all selected PageBoxes are found on every page of the Print Item.
2. General
This check is available within Automation when creating a Production Configuration. It is offered in the following Operations:
- Check Print Items and Apply Fixups – this Operation checks the Print Item and determines which Fixup or Action to apply in case of success, and which Fixup or Action to apply in case of failure.
- Check Print Item and apply Fixup Chains – this Operation checks the Print Item and determines which Fixup Chain or Action to apply in case of success, and which Fixup Chain or Action to apply in case of failure.
- Check Print Item and forward to – this Operation – which is always placed at the end of a Production Configuration – checks the Print Item and determines which Production Configuration or Action to apply in case of success, and which Production Configuration or Action to apply in case of failure.
Production Configurations are used in the Workflow for the following areas:
- Automation Jobs – apply Production Configurations to selected Articles or Print Items.
- Batch Processing – apply the selected Production Configuration to the Print Data to be processed.
- Hotfolder – apply the selected Production Configuration to the Print Data contained in a Hotfolder.

3. Description
The check Check Availability of PageBoxes allows you to verify whether the selected PageBoxes are present in the Print Item. For Multipage Files, all pages of the Print Item are checked for the presence of the selected PageBoxes.

This check allows you to verify the presence of PageBoxes. To check their sizes, the following options can be selected:
- Templates [1] – the settings selected in the dialog can be saved as a Template and applied in the Operations Check Print Item and Apply Fixups, Check Print Item and apply Fixup Chains, and Check Print Item and forward to for other Articles/Print Items.
- Select PageBoxes [2] – use the dropdown menu to specify which PageBoxes should be checked for availability. The following options are available:
- TrimBox – checks whether the TrimBox is present on the pages.
- BleedBox – checks whether the BleedBox is present on the pages.
- ArtBox – checks whether the ArtBox is present on the pages.
- CropBox – checks whether the CropBox is present on the pages.
- MediaBox – checks whether the MediaBox is present on the pages.
- Extend check for availability of at least one PageBox. [3] – enable this option if not all selected PageBoxes need to be present in the Print Item. In this case, it is sufficient if at least one of the selected PageBoxes is present on each page (OR condition). If the option is disabled, all selected PageBoxes must be present on all pages of the Print Item (AND condition).
