  • how to navigate within the Font Manager.

1. Introduction

The Font Manager is a small application in the Workflow with which fonts can be made available for the Workflow by uploading font files. Furthermore, fonts can be displayed with their font styles. The program has been kept deliberately lean, as it is only accessible for special Workflows.

To access the Font Manager, open the tab Automation > Impose Editor > Markers > Captions > Text > Fonts and click the Open Font Manager icon [1].

Not all font formats are supported

Note that only OpenType and Windows TrueType fonts can be used in the Workflow. Old PostScript Type 1 and macOS specific dfonts cannot be processed on Windows systems.

2. Working with the "Font Manager"

The Font Manager function consists of a single dialog wherein the upload and display of fonts can be mapped. The following functions are available:

  • Search for Font [2] - Enter the desired name of the font family which you want to display with all the available font styles.
  • Select font to display [3] - By selecting a font family, all available font styles [7] are displayed. What the font looks like is displayed in the Display [8] area of the font collection. All information about the font's manufacturer is displayed in the Information [8] area.
  • Add Font [4] - Use this to upload fonts from your local operating system to the workflow system. Once the font has been uploaded, it will be available in all areas of the workflow where fonts can be accessed.
  • Delete font style [5] - Use this to delete the currently selected font style [6].
