In this article, we will show you how to switch between Manual Mode and the Rule Based Modes – Step & Repeat and Nesting.
1. Place Print Items

You can easily switch between Manual and Rule Based Impose Modes in the Workflow. First, open a Production Job [1] and switch to the Impose tab [2]. If Imposition exists, you can choose between three Impose modes. In our case we'll choose Manual mode [3].
2. Impose Editor

After opening the Impose Editor, you have various settings at your disposal. If you need an overview of the Impose Editor, we offer general articles describing the functions and settings below.
3. Changing the Impose Mode
In the Workflow, we have the option to switch between Manual Mode and Rule Based Mode. In our example we want to change the mode to Step & Repeat. To change the mode, click on the Impose Mode drop-down menu [4] in the upper left corner of the Impose Editor.

When you click on the icon, a dialog appears informing you that the current Manual Imposition will be overwritten when you Change Impose Mode. To confirm the mode change, click on OK [5].

After changing the mode, you can continue with arranging your Print Items. If you wish to use Manual Mode again, you must perform the same steps as described above.
