1. Introduction
The Fixup Knockout overprinted RGB-Vector/Text is available in the Workflow. This Fixup aims to change the overprint status of RGB vectors or texts from Overprint to Knockout.
2. General
The Fixup Knockout overprinted RGB-Vector/Text can be used to set overprinting RGB vectors or texts to Knockout.
Find the Fixup in the Data Preparation tab of an Article, Order or Production Job by:
- entering the name of the Fixup in the Filter area,
- activating the option Objects in the Category area,
- activating the option Change in the Action area,
- activating the option Text, Overprint, Knockout, Vectors or RGB in the Search area.
3. Description
This Fixup can be used to set the overprint status of RGB vectors and RGB text from “Overprint” to “Knockout”.
3.1. Requirements and Functionality
For the Fixup to do what it promises, the following requirements must be met:
- The file contains RGB vectors or RGB texts.
- The RGB objects are set to Overprint.

No further options can be selected to set RGB objects to Knockout.
3.2. Before/After
To experiment with this function, you can refer to the sample file “Sample_Knockout overprinted RGB-Vector_Text.pdf”. The file was created in RGB. It contains vectors, a line of text and an image (right cloud). All vectors in the file as well as the text line are overprinted and should be set to Knockout.
After applying the Fixup, the file “Sample_Knockout overprinted RGB-Vector_Text_End.pdf” is created. Here, all overprinting elements have been set to Knockout.
