3.79 Mirror the Print Item on the Long Edge

1. Introduction

The Fixup Mirror the Print Item on the Long Edge is available in the Workflow. This Fixup aims to mirror the entire Print Item on the long edge. This doubles the width of the Print Item.

2. General

The Fixup Mirror Print Items on the Long Edge can be used to mirror the entire Print Item on the long edge. This doubles the short side of the Print Item.

Find the Fixup in the Data Preparation tab of an Article, Order or Production Job by:

  • Entering the name of the Fixup in the Filter area,
  • Activating the Page Content option in the Category area,
  • Activating the Impose, Transform or Mirror option in the Action area .

3. Description

With this Fixup mirror the long edge (height for portrait format, width for landscape format) of the Print Items. This doubles the short edge. As a result, a 100 x 100 mm file becomes a 100 x 200 mm file.

3.1. Requirements and Functionality

For the Fixup to do what it promises, no special requirements need to be met.

No further options can be selected.

3.2. Before/After

To experiment with this function, refer to the sample file "Sample_Mirror Print Item on the Long Edge.pdf". The file has a size of 100 x 100 mm. Now the file is supposed to be mirrored along the long edge.

After applying the Fixup, the file "Sample_Mirror Print Item on the Long Edge_End.pdf" is created. Here, the Print Item has been mirrored along the long edge, which doubles the short edge.
