3.94 Remove Page Boxes

1. Introduction

The Fixup Remove Page Boxes is available in the Workflow. The aim of this Fixup is to delete all Page Boxes. Only the MediaBox and the CropBox are excluded as these Page Boxes cannot be deleted.

2. General

Use the Fixup Remove Page Boxes when you have determined that the Page Boxes are set incorrectly. By applying this Fixup, the TrimBox, BleedBox and ArtBox are removed.

Find the Fixup in the Data Preparation tab of an Article, Order or Production Job by

  • Entering the name of the Fixup in the Filter area
  • Activating the Page Box option in the Category area
  • Activating the Delete option in the Action area
  • Activating the options BleedBox, TrimBox, CropBox and ArtBox in the Search area

3. Description

This Fixup removes the TrimBox, BleedBox and ArtBox from the PDF file. Only the MediaBox and the CropBox cannot be removed, as the MediaBox is an essential component of a PDF file and the CropBox usually describes the area that is displayed in the Workflow.

3.1. Requirements and Functionality

For the Fixups to do what it promises, the following requirements must be met:

  • In addition to the MediaBox and the CropBox, the file has another Page Box

Further options can be selected.

3.2. Before/After

To experiment with this function, refer to the sample file "Seitengeometrierahmen_Sample.pdf". The sample file contains all five Page Boxes.

After applying the Fixup, the file "Seitengeometrierahmen_Sample_End.pdf" is created. In this file, all Page Boxes have been removed except from CropBox and MediaBox.
